Who we are
This generic stock photo of yoga mats should tell you everything you need to know.
JK.
Eight Limbs is a community-first yoga studio for real people with real bodies, and real schedules. Classes are thoughtful, playful, and accessible. Instructors are friendly, approachable, knowledgable and supportive.
In addition to our schedule of yoga classes, we’ll offer workshops, community events, and a variety of other moments to deepen your practice. IRL human interaction, in a space that feels safe and inviting, led by compassionate, down to earth people who want to see you succeed.
(We promise we’ll get better photos once we’re open.)
Meet the Team
Founder. 500-hr RYTJustin began his yoga teaching journey at The Yoga Space in Portland, OR under the tutelage of Michele Loew. Mostly, he just really likes yoga and wants to share it with as many people as he can.
What brought you to teaching yoga? Peer pressure? I completed my 200-hr with Michele and Ian LeMasters, and was offered a Community Class time slot that grew to more regular classes and eventually a studio manager position. After The Yoga Space closed, I decided I wasn’t done teaching and really enjoyed sharing yoga with others, especially beginners, so I started teaching and subbing around town at different studios. Eventually I was inspired to open Eight Limbs and build this community.
Favorite line from the Yoga Sutras of Patañjali? “For those grounded in truthfulness, every action and its consequences are imbued with truth.” II.36
